Q1) What are big companies doing in order to be more socially responsible ?

- For example, Singtel has an energy programme that reduces the business cost. Singtel also encourages their customers to join their environmental efforts, like signing up with Singtels's own myBill. DBS is also focusing on helping children to reach their full potential in learning.

Q2) How important it is to be socially responsible? And do you think it is still possible to make a social impact during the recession?

- It is important because it helps the people in the country to spare a thought for the others and being responsible for their actions.The charity walkathon that was being conducted did not spend a big amount of money to organise as it was raised till $80 000 of social impacts towards the deaf.

Q1) What are some of the things that schools in Singapore are doing in order to take care of the environment?

The schools in Singapore requested the students to bring their home electricity bills to school so that they can control their monthly energy. Some of the schools bestow fruit peels to the school's three recycling bins.By this method, it converts food wastes into fertilisers. Commonwealth Secondary School has their own wetland which treats grey water from the bathrooms sinks. During lessons, the students will test how clean the treated water is and study the wetland's plats and animals.Students decided to ban cardboard boxes for them to takeaway from the canteen.

Q2)Do you think one person's effort in reducing, reusing and recycling will make a difference in saving the environment?What steps have you taken in the effort to save the earth?

- Yes, it can. With this person exercising this routine, he/she would tell the others or advise them to do it as well.For me, I have been putting plastic bottles into the recyling bin near my house. I am reducing my use of paper during school time and at home.

Q1) How does the treatment programme of the Singapore Prison Service help sex offenders?

- The programme makes these sex offenders to learn how they think throughout their lifes and how their action originate from this. These programme also helps them to choose not to get involve in sex offences when the force comes again.

Q2) Do you think that sex offenders should be given a second chance in the society? State your reasons.

- Yes, they should be given a second chance. Who knows if they can change. Nobody's perfect. They can improve. We, human beings, learn everything from our mistakes. So, they can learn from this unappropiate mistake of them.

Q1) What is illegal logging?

-Illegal logging is forestry activities which connected with wood harvesting, processing and trade that the law does not agree with.

Q2) What can you do to stop the Sumatran tiger from extinction?

-We must not destroy their habitats as this may extinct them. They need a place to live in and to protect themselves. If they do not have the place to hide, the may be killed & that's why their population is decreasing.
